Featured on Channel 7’s “The Great Outdoors”, this business take people mountain biking and kayaking. Established in March 2002, this business is home based (so no rent for a shop front) and can be run by one or two people. The business has a forest permit which allows a choice of forests. It is based in Noosa on the sunshine coast in Qld.
Income (approx $49k) is mainly cash, overheads are low. Set your own hours, working mornings, afternoons or both (your choice); with your clients being couples, families, backpackers and groups. Bookings come through the internet or over the phone, either directly or through booking agents. The only qualification required is a first aid certificate, which can be obtained over a weekend course.
It offer three packages; one by four hour and two by two hour packages:
1. Forest Combo – Mountain biking through the forest followed by kayaking amongst the mangroves on the river.
2. Just Pedal – Mountain biking in the forest, no kayaking.
3. Just Paddle – Kayaking the river and mangroves, no riding.
